ABOUT THE IMAGE: In this delightful trimmed Art Corner production cel, Ludwig Von Drake teaches viewers about various dances in Spain. The cel was created for Season 8 Episode 25 of the anthology series Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, airing on 4/8/962. Von Drake acted as a guide for viewers as he explored the regional dances in the country and his animation accompanied by live-action footage of each expressive dance. This full figure cel was created for roughly 5:52 in the episode as Von Drake introduces the fan dancers of Málaga, an Andalusian port city. Ludwig Von Drake is nicely centered on the cel at about 3.25'' x 4.75'' in size, dressed in a colorful blue artist smock and stylish black beret. The reverse of the backing board includes the original golden Art Corner sticker, marking it from the Art Corner store that was only open from 1955 to 1966 in Disneyland.
ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original production cels are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show.
