ABOUT THE IMAGE: This impressive final animation drawing of Colonel Hathi was created by a Walt Disney Studios animator in the production of the animated feature based on the stories by Rudyard Kipling, and a cel painting was made directly from it. This original is from Col. Hathi's first scene. As he leads Her Majesty's Fifth Pachyderm Brigade of India into the story the gruff old warrior looks sternly back along the line. "Company! Sound off!", he commands, as the troop takes up "The Elephant Song" by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.
