ABOUT THE IMAGE: The Silly Symphony Little Hiawatha, released on 5/15/37, was inspired by the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem. Presented is a beautiful Tom Wood preliminary drawing of the character for Good Housekeeping. The illustration is rendered in graphite with red and blue pencils and measures an image size of 3.5" x 4.25". The drawing is done on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Included is a printed copy of the final illustration from the magazine.
