ABOUT THE IMAGE: This hand-marked blueprint of a speeder bike from the production of Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was originally drafted by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) chief model-maker Michael Glenn Fulmer based on visual effects art director Joe Johnston's original designs, then printed by production for distribution to the wider ILM model shop.

This blueprint depicts bird's eye and left side angles of a speeder bike and its various components with labels such as "Engine/Nacelle Rear View," "Support Bracket Front," and "Foot Support Bar." Also printed in the background is a gag sketch of an Imperial scout trooper joking "Ha! Just wait'll the CHP catch this baby comin' off the "on-ramp"!" It is dated "10 April 1982," numbered as drawing "1178646618975," and labeled "Scooter" in the bottom right corner with Fulmer's name and annotations noting that the blueprint was originally rendered in haste. Several components of the speeder bike are also hand-marked in red ink with circles, squares, and lines.
