ABOUT THE IMAGE: This artwork is based on drawings of one of the artist's favorite scenes from the classic Looney Tunes cartoon, “Bugs Bunny Rides Again” (1948) recreating the quintessential stand-off of two of Warner Brothers favorite “gunslingers,” Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam.  This piece recreates the true sense of animation in this multiple image limited edition series entitled, the “Sequential Series.”

ABOUT THE MEDIUM:  This edition was created from original Virgil Ross pencil drawings, the edition is hand-inked, hand painted and individually number in an edition size of 500.  Backgrounds are lithograph printed on museum quality stock. Each piece is hand-signed by Virgil Ross.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Virgil Ross was an American artist, cartoonist, and animator best known for his work on the Warner Brothers animated shorts with his distinctive style, character personality and fluid animation.  Ross spent about 30 years at Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, first under Tex Avery's supervision, and then, after Avery left in 1941, Bob Clampett.  After a brief stint there he moved on to Freleng Animation where he spent many years working on what he was most known for...Bugs Bunny,
