For this colorful Limited Edition cel, designer Iwao Takamoto has taken the Flintstones and the Rubbles and dropped them into a faithful stone age re-creation of the F.A.O. Schwartz New York City Flagship Store. This is a hand-painted cel with silk-screened line art in two colors, Four-color Lithograph Background and is signed by the creators of the Flintstones, William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. "Big" even has a musical theme through the courtesy of Barney’s two feet.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: (April 29, 1925 – January 8, 2007) Iwao Takamoto was an American animator, television producer, and film director. He began his career as a production and character designer for Walt Disney Animation Studios films such as Cinderella (1950), Lady and the Tramp (1955), and Sleeping Beauty (1959). Later, he moved to Hanna-Barbera Productions, where he designed a great majority of the characters, including Scooby-Doo and Astro, and eventually became a director and producer.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Hand-painted limited edition cels showcase legendary characters and recreate classic moments from great cartoons, using the same materials and techniques as were used in making the originals. Cel painting is a time-honored, and extremely exacting process requiring that each color be individually applied by hand.
