ABOUT THE IMAGE:  No one likes a shotgun wedding, particularly when they find they’re marrying neither a bride nor groom, but a rabbit. Taken from the 1953 classic, “Hare Trimmed,” Yosemite Sam has found this out at the absolute wrong time as he walks the isle with his…um…cottontail bride…yes cottontail.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: The drawing for this edition was taken from the original animation.. The inking was silk-screened onto acetate, and then hand-painted. The background was reproduced using the Giclée print method.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Friz Freleng was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer, and composer known for his work at Warner Brothers on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.  He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, and Speedy Gonzalez.  Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won five Academy Awards.
