ABOUT THE IMAGE: This storyboard from Oliver & Company was originally drawn by Disney Legend and renowned storyboard artist Joe Ranft (1960 - 2005). Ranft started working at Disney in 1980 as part of the new wave of artists brought into the studio, learning through Walter Stanchfield's training program. He worked on a few unmade projects before starting his feature film contributions with The Great Mouse Detective, briefly moving to Oliver & Company before he began working on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The film put a spin on the classic tale of Oliver Twist and was something new for Disney, a trial run for including extensive computer animation in their features and returning to a musical format for their animated films.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Storyboard Drawings show what’s moving in each shot, and in which direction, so that the production team is crystal clear on the desired end result, which is exactly what a professional storyboard should do. Having an original production storyboard from one of your favorite movies or short film's is a great collector's piece.
