Elmer Fudd

Elmer Fudd is one of the most iconic characters from the Looney Tunes franchise. Created by Tex Avery and Bob Clampett, he first appeared in the cartoon short "Egghead Rides Again" in 1937, but it wasn't until 1940's "Elmer's Candid Camera" that he was given his signature catchphrase, "Shhh! Be vewy, vewy quiet, I'm hunting rabbits!"

Elmer is often portrayed as a bumbling hunter, who is perpetually frustrated in his attempts to catch Bugs Bunny or other animals. He is easily flustered and often ends up shooting himself in the foot or getting into other humorous mishaps. Despite his lack of success, Elmer is determined to catch his prey and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Throughout his history, Elmer has undergone several changes in appearance and personality. Originally designed as a tall, skinny character with a bulbous nose, he later evolved into a shorter, pudgier figure with a more childlike face. His voice also changed over time, from a high-pitched nasal tone to a lower, more gravelly voice.

Elmer has become a beloved character in popular culture, appearing in countless cartoons, comic books, and other media. He has also been parodied and referenced in movies, TV shows, and other cartoons. Despite his foibles and failures, Elmer's determination and persistence have made him a timeless and endearing character that will continue to entertain audiences for generations to come.
